Hugs and Hearts for our Troops

Every February, loved ones exchange flowers, candy and cards, but for troops overseas who are separated from the ones they love, Valentine’s Day can be hard.  HUGS for Soldiers, at Duluth First United Methodist Church, would like to call on families,  students, churches, Scouts, civic groups and businesses to connect hearts at home with hearts overseas through an effort to send Valentines to our deployed service members.

Guidelines for Cards

♥     Cards can be any size, either purchased or handmade.  Please leave envelopes unsealed, as we screen every card.

♥     Please do not use glitter on Valentines.

♥     Military personnel love to communicate with us!  You can include your name, address or email address if you so desire.

♥     Photos of the sender, sender’s family, church, or classroom participants can add a personal touch to your card. 

♥     Please keep your messages positive.
