Hearts and Hugs for our Troops2010

Love and Hugs to our wonderful supporters for putting smiles on the faces of our Soldiers.

Valentine’s Day is a real part of the American culture that our Troops grew up with.  A Valentine from home is one more needed connection with the home they love and miss.  Serving overseas, they haven’t seen their loved ones for months or maybe a year now.

Our Troops won't get the Hugs from Home, but many of our supporters have touched their Hearts through messages of thank you and support.  We received over 6,200 Valentines from 27 States and donations to make up 600 care packages which included snacks and chocolates to lift our troops’ spirits.

Some of the sentiments and support written to our Soldiers are:

“You serve with courage, reach out with love, and persevere with faith.  Thank you for all you do to keep the spirit of hope and the promise of peace alive.”

“We’re Proud of You Soldier.  There are heroes who walk among us, never looking for glory or praise.  They don’t seek recognition for their thoughtful, caring ways-- living lives of deep commitment providing for those they hold dear--steadfast with a quiet strength through times of laughter and tears.  You are a person like that to me the most selfless person by far.  So, Soldier, I’d like to thank you for being the HERO that you are.”

“Thank You so much for all that you do.  We are so grateful that there are such brave people like you to help keep us safe and living the American dream.  We are so proud.  Sending big Hugs to you this Valentine’s Day.”

Thank You for remembering our Troops this special day!
