On behalf of all the Soldiers in Task Force 1st Medical Brigade, I would like to express our deep appreciation and heartfelt thanks for your generous donation of Christmas Goodies. Your personal commitment to supporting our Troops overseas is amazing. Your gifts helped to ensure each and every Soldier in the Task Force was able to have a little bit of holiday spirit from back home. The 1st Medical Brigade headquarters Christmas Party for the Soldiers on Victory Base was a huge success, in large part due to your great gifts. Your generosity warms my heart and the Soldiers truly do appreciate your support. Thank you for keeping the 1st Medical Brigade in your thoughts and prayers. You are the America we are fighting for. As a token of our appreciation, we have flown the enclosed American flag over our Headquarters on 01 January 2010. From all of us to all of you, THANK YOU! Silver Knights...COLONEL Bob, Commander 1st Med Bde
Thanks for all your support and sorry for the delay. We got your packages and we'll send pics of our tree decorating party and on Christmas day!!!...CPT 1-15 IN
Hello kind volunteers! My unit is currently in Afghanistan. I see what you do to help and it's awesome. I was wondering if you would be able to support our company while we are here working hard? We would really appreciate that! Thank you for what you do!...LCpl Sarah
Just wanted to take a few seconds and say thank you for the wonderful cards and Christmas packages that we have received from you. We know this took some time to put together, and we appreciate what you have done. It was my honor a few years ago to march in the parade that you hold every year during your Fall Festival. As the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan have dragged on, many people forget that American Soldiers are still deployed. But, YOU HAVE NEVER FORGOTTEN! We thank you so much. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year with your families. Thanks for all that you do and GOD Bless you ALL!...Major, Team Leader, Federal Police Transition Team
I received the boxes a few days ago with all the Ziplock bags full of things. We will distribute the gifts on Christmas Day. Thank you so much for your support!...CPT 2-69 AR
I appreciate the sponsor you sent me. I will kick them an E-mail in the next couple of days. I appreciate all you do not only for me, but for all the Soldiers you sponsor...PFC 2/32 FA
From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for your support. We have received ten boxes from ya'll in the past few weeks, and all the gift bags are in my office until we set up our tree and put them under it. We also made sure that we got a big push of supplies to our platoon that is living away from us with another Company. Their Company has things a bit rougher that we do and some of the care packages were sent out to our boys there which has been greatly helped by ya'll...CPT 2-69 AR
Being from Mableton, GA and a former employee of the Burn Unit at Grady Memorial Hospital, I'd like to thank you up front for helping support our Medics. We are moving to a small outpost and will be cut off from the luxuries of big camp life. We will be supporting about 500 Soldiers without much technology where we are going. Any outside support is fantastic...CPT 2/12 FAR
We greatly value our relationship with your community. Is is this kind of support from home that helps us remember why we are here. May God Bless you and our great nation!...CPT, 2-69 AR
Thank you very much for your support. We all thank you for the help and support...CPT, 7-101

Thank you for all your support to the troops!...BM1, NSWU-3
It is a constant battle keeping morale high due to the long 12-hour days and not much time off. The guys look forward to mail call and any support from the states, we share whatever comes in with the whole Company. Any support would be greatly appreciated, every little bit helps and makes their days when we do get it. Thanks for all you do in support of the Soldiers...1SG 7th BN, Delta
Our battalion and my company in particular are very appreciated of your continued support. They will be very thankful for anything that you and the Duluth community can do for them over the coming year, particularly the Soldiers that do not receive very many items from home...CPT 2-69 AR
We received all your boxes, and I wanted to pass along a lot of thanks from all the platoons. I think all the cookies were gone within the first 5 minutes of getting the boxes. Again, thanks for everything. The guys out here really appreciate it...1LT, 60th ENG CO.

On behalf of the Commander of Echo Company, 3-10th General Support Aviation Battalion (GSAB), I would personally like to thank you for your continued support and the care packages you have sent our Soldiers. The efforts you took by supporting this company helped ease their deployment and were greatly appreciated. This thoughtfulness was also an instrumental factor in the positive attitude these Soldiers had every day. We would like to present you with this American flag, as a token of appreciation. This flag was flown here in Iraq in recognition of your awesome support to this company. You helped ensure our Soldiers knew that they were not forgotten and will always be supported by Great Americans like yourself. We are all very thankful for all your support and showing the true spirit of Freedom. On behalf of all our Soldiers here in Iraq, best wishes to you and your family. We are all looking forward to our return back to the United State very soon. Warm regards, CPT, TC Commanding
One of our Adopt-A-Soldier families shared this email from their Soldier in Afghanistan. "Today's a good day since we got mail call! I got two packages from you! One had trail mix, DVD, and skin care items. The other had a laptop bag and two flash sticks! I was so excited and happy to see them! You don't know how much these packages just made my day! I've been really exhausted and getting a bit glum. It's like a bad run -- work like crazy, eat when we can, pass out, and repeat even during holidays and weekends. Getting mail is the bright spot of our week! I shared the yummy stuff and goodies with other troops. You don't know how much your mail means to me and the troops over here. I just want to let you know we appreciate all of you and all of the kindness and support! Many thanks. Gail."...SGT, 1-121
Just wanted to write to you and let you know how much I appreciated the huge box of Girl Scout cookies. That was very kind of you to take your time out and do that for a Soldier. It means so much to us. I was very excited when I received your box. It is always like Christmas time when we even get a letter. If you can, write to me whenever you want. Again, thanks so much, take care and may God Bless you!....SPC J.A., 3 BSTB, 3/10
I just wanted to write a personalized letter to thank you for the care packages and Girl Scout cookies that were sent our way. I distributed them out to as many Soldiers as possible and let me tell you the response was great. I personally want to say thank you for the care packages. To me they were some of the best. The cookies were wonderful, too. As soon as I got notice that I received them, they were gone within an hour. Thank you very much. Your generosity is greatly appreciated and the Soldiers of the 172D Support Battalion thank you....SGT S.B.
I appreciate you taking the time out to make sooooo many packages for Soldiers like me to receive cookies and other goodies. It really made my day. Thank you, Hugs for Soldiers!...SPC, 14th HRSC

I just wanted to write a little note to say Thank You for everything you all do for us. I appreciate all of the things you sent to me and everyone here says "Hello." Ya'll are amazing people and it is nice to know that people support what we do here. Thank you!...CPL, E Co., 3-10 GSAB
The 988th Military Police Company Headquarters platoon in Iraq would like to Thank You for the Girl Scout cookies. We have enjoyed getting a Taste of Home. Our platoon enjoys the cookies on our down time after work or for a snack during our long days. When we receive these gifts, we are grateful that people think about us and share with us the pleasures of the simple things, such as Girl Scout cookies. We appreciate your support. It is a wonderful moral boost when you take care of us. The platoon has enjoyed the cookies and we all thank you for all your support.
From a Soldier in Iraq to the children: I want to thank you for the candy you sent me. It really brought my spirits up. The place that I live at doesn't have the same benefits that you do. So every time candy, packages or letters come to us, it makes this place a little better. So, from the bottom of my heart, I want to thank you because if it wasn't for you caring so much, my reason for being in Iraq wouldn't mean anything...988th Military Police
Thanks for all the nice things that you have sent to the troops and for taking the time to be so considerate and supportive...455th Task Force Med
Thank you all for the box of goodies. It's good to know that we have the support of churches such as yours. It's the Grace and Mercy of God that is keeping us all over here. Thanks again from the Airmen of the 332 AEW...SSgt
Thank you very much for sending your warm wishes and goodies for us to pass out to the people serving here in Afghanistan. Everyone is enjoying the fact they are being remembered by those back home in which we all miss so much. Your actions remind everyone that we are not forgotten but instead, tremendously missed. Your servant attitude, time, and generosity are noticed and greatly appreciated by all...SSgt and CPT (Chaplain), 451st, USAF
I would like to extend my appreciation to your organization for the Valentine gifts you have sent to my Soldiers. They were truly appreciated and thoughtful. I have delegated out to my Platoon Sergeants to ensure that the Soldiers write back to you all. The cards from your volunteers were more than expected and I want to thank Orchard Hills Elementary in Michigan, the Duluth First United Methodist Church and Peachtree Corners Baptist Church in Georgia, to just mention a few. The list goes on, and I will be mailing the notes from the Soldiers here when the next Postal Rodeo shows for pick up. God Bless and Thank You!...1SG, 988th Military Police Co.
Thank you for the gifts and for the letter of kind words. More importantly, though, thank you for your prayers and all of your support. I know this war isn't very popular among the American people, but it amazes me how much support we are receiving from home. Hopefully, it will all be over soon and we'll all be able to spend the holidays with our families. Until then, thank you again for all your support. God Bless you and Happy Holidays...HM3, U.S. Navy
We would like to express our immense appreciation and gratitude for your volunteer and generosity providing care and comfort to us from back home. While we might not be home to share our love and affection with our family on this Christmas holiday, but with your support and appreciation, that had helped our away from home celebration exclusive and memorable, and we thank you...LT, E Co., 3-10th GSAB, 10th CAB, 10th Mountain Division
Thank you for the boxes and all the goodies. Thank you for taking the time for my team and I. You have all raised morale and left a permanent smile in our hearts. I am with the 368th Financial Management Company (from Wichita, KS) and would like to thank ALL of you for your Support. We have received a lot of goodies from the Duluth FUMC and it was distributed out among the Soldiers and also the customers of the Finance Center here in BAF. It is the little things you, the supporters of the US Soldiers, do that keeps the morale high and going. Once again, thank you from the bottom of our hearts and keep up the GREAT job...SGT...
Thank ya'll so much for the impressive amount of support you have been showing my soldiers, sailors, marines, and airmen. I'm in a unique situation where I work with all the branches of the military and, therefore, they ALL are benefiting from your hospitality. It is a great relief to see there is still support from back home. The blankets, scarfs, and hats you sent are being put to good use. The temperatures have dipped significantly in the last two weeks and they arrived just in time. I am making an effort to distribute to the widest group possible so many people benefit from your kindness. Please share these sentiments with any and all involved...it is appreciated more than you know...Major...
I just wanted to say how wonderful it is to see someone from my local community doing awesome things for those of us in uniform that are deployed. I grew up in the Atlanta area all my life and frequented Duluth often though I never got the chance to see your church. I was a member of DFUMC in Decatur, GA. I just want to say, THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT. May you all have a blessed day. Your Defender, PFC, A Co. 404 ASB, 4th CAB 4ID

We recently received a care package from your church and I wanted to express my thanks and appreciation. Your package found its way to the Soldiers of the 91st Military Police Battalion in Iraq. The goodies were quickly distributed and consumed by all. I can't express how good it feels to know that folks we don't even know are taking the time to keep us in mind. Thank you so much...Master Sergeant...

Just wanted to say thank you from all of us over here for your support, prayers, and encouragement. Thank you and God Bless.
...remember one thing.. there is no way the soldiers here including myself could do so much without the support of family, friends and supporters such as yourself. You are just as important to this on going event as we are. I know on many days, I didn't have the motivation to push forward. But, when I get those letters, emails and boxes, it lets me know someone is depending on me to do my best and that's what I am doing . My very best.. so thank you for all you are doing and have done. I will always be grateful for such a strong supporting group of friends...SPC, 2-1 GSAB
The soldiers are now receiving their adoption papers and they are happy. Thanks for all you have done for us.
Thank You...SGT Davis, 217th BSB
I want to express my heartfelt thanks for supporting my husband and his fellow soldiers from the 3rd Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division. My husband, received a wonderful package from you. I know you are well aware how much boxes from home mean when one is far from home. So, thank you for all that you do. You helped them in getting through this long deployment. Thank you and best wishes...Wife of a 1-15 IN Soldier
I would just like to Thank You for all the many things you are doing for us, and most of all, the moral of each and every soldier that gets something out of the packages you send. They mean a lot to us, just knowing that someone out there that we have never met, or even seen cares enough to send some love and support in a box. Our families thank you and we do appreciate your time. I know there is a lot of time that goes into what you do, and I would like to tell you that it is well worth every min and sec that we open the boxes. We feel like it is Christmas all over again every day, and it is always some new. Once again, Thank You and God Bless what you are doing for us...SGT, 1123rd T.C.
Thank you and all of the children who created the wonderful welcome home signs and food bags for our troops returning from Iraq. I am a mother of one of them and it really touched my heart. I'm so grateful you and the children have taken the time to think of our US soldiers. I brought my son's welcome home signs home and will save them for him in a scrapbook I hope to put together for him so he may show his children one day. Thank you again for everything you are doing for our servicemen and women! They really appreciated it.
Sincerely,
Janis Mehall
Mother of BSTB Soldier
I just wanted to send you this little to note to thank you for the box of cookies that you sent. I really appreciate all that you and Hugs for Soldiers are doing for all of our deployed service members. The cookies were a HUGE!!! hit. I can’t quite understand it, but these guys out here really go crazy fighting over Girl Scout cookies. It is really quite funny to watch. They were offering to buy them from me and were trying to make all kinds of weird bargains for some cookies. I kept one box and shared all the rest. Thank you and please keep up the good work.
Very respectfully,
FC2 (SW) Justin P. Shoemaker
USS Philippine Sea CG-58
We the Soldiers here in Iraq want to extend our gratitude for you and the girls scouts for supporting what we do over here and for what we do for Americans. People like you make this mission here in Iraq worth fighting, and the Soldiers appreciate all the support from great Americans like yourself and others like you. I have attached photos of our Soldiers with the cookies, and I hope the girls get to see them. Again, thank you for your support.
CPT Justin B. Teague, E Co./1-502

You all are so AWESOME!! We could never thank you
enough for all the tremendous support you have provided our
Soldiers. You have made the lives of thousands of Soldiers in combat
better every day. We are so grateful for all of you. YOU ALL are
what make our country great. Just like the Soldiers who serve something
higher than themselves, so do every one of you. We are honored to know you
all and to have been associated with you. I am enclosing a note to our
families and you will see that you all are one of our
families.
From a very grateful
battalion.

"I just want to say thank you to the Vonore Elementary School for your support. The Valentine cards were beautiful. I hung them all over the wall of my room. Thank you for all that you do. Your support is priceless." ...SPC Gulley
"I just wanted to let you know that we received the cookies. I would also like to thank you for the support you show to the service members - I can't imagine what an enormous undertaking this must be for you with the numbers of soldiers deployed.
Your willingness to send care packages is great, but I must say that what struck me was the fact that you had a personally written greeting in each box. Do you have time to sleep?!?!
It's people like you that really make the sacrifice of separation from family and friends more bearable - gestures like this give a sense of value and worth to our mission here."...CPT, 4/10 CAV
"On behalf of the Soldiers assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, I would like to send my sincerest, heartfelt thanks for the support shown by your organization. The packages and letters we received from your organization during the holiday season lifted our spirits and reminded us that there are wonderful people such as you back home supporting us. It further enhanced our morale as we continue to meet our purpose in the Global War on Terrorism. There are many days here when the men are called upon to accomplish tasks that place them well in harm's way. To receive packages from the home front is a reminder that they are loved and missed back at home." ... Cpt., 1-15IN
"Thank you for the Valentine card. It was nice to receive it. It's always nice to hear from students back home." SGT, 1/502 INF BN (AASLT)
"God bless and thank you for your thoughts. So many of us have loved ones in the states, so I ask that you pray for them also." SGT, 1/502, 101st Airborne, 2nd Brigade

"Thank you for all of the love and support during Valentine's Day." FSC, 3-1CAV
