The soldiers are now receiving their adoption papers and they are happy. Thanks for all you have done for us.
Thank You...SGT Davis, 217th BSB
I want to express my heartfelt thanks for supporting my husband and his fellow soldiers from the 3rd Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division. My husband, received a wonderful package from you. I know you are well aware how much boxes from home mean when one is far from home. So, thank you for all that you do. You helped them in getting through this long deployment. Thank you and best wishes...Wife of a 1-15 IN Soldier
I would just like to Thank You for all the many things you are doing for us, and most of all, the moral of each and every soldier that gets something out of the packages you send. They mean a lot to us, just knowing that someone out there that we have never met, or even seen cares enough to send some love and support in a box. Our families thank you and we do appreciate your time. I know there is a lot of time that goes into what you do, and I would like to tell you that it is well worth every min and sec that we open the boxes. We feel like it is Christmas all over again every day, and it is always some new. Once again, Thank You and God Bless what you are doing for us...SGT, 1123rd T.C.
Thank you and all of the children who created the wonderful welcome home signs and food bags for our troops returning from Iraq. I am a mother of one of them and it really touched my heart. I'm so grateful you and the children have taken the time to think of our US soldiers. I brought my son's welcome home signs home and will save them for him in a scrapbook I hope to put together for him so he may show his children one day. Thank you again for everything you are doing for our servicemen and women! They really appreciated it.
Sincerely,
Janis Mehall
Mother of BSTB Soldier
I just wanted to send you this little to note to thank you for the box of cookies that you sent. I really appreciate all that you and Hugs for Soldiers are doing for all of our deployed service members. The cookies were a HUGE!!! hit. I can’t quite understand it, but these guys out here really go crazy fighting over Girl Scout cookies. It is really quite funny to watch. They were offering to buy them from me and were trying to make all kinds of weird bargains for some cookies. I kept one box and shared all the rest. Needless to say, Hugs for Soldiers brightened the faces of many people that day. I really don’t know what else to say but Thank you and please keep up the good work.
Very respectfully,
FC2 (SW) Justin P. Shoemaker
USS Philippine Sea CG-58
We the Soldiers here in Iraq want to extend our gratitude for you and the girls scouts for supporting what we do over here and for what we do for Americans. People like you make this mission here in Iraq worth fighting, and the Soldiers appreciate all the support from great Americans like yourself and others like you. I have attached photos of our Soldiers with the cookies, and I hope the girls get to see them. Again, thank you for your support.
CPT Justin B. Teague, E Co./1-502

You all are so AWESOME!! We could never thank you
enough for all the tremendous support you have provided our
Soldiers. You have made the lives of thousands of Soldiers in combat
better every day. We are so grateful for all of you. YOU ALL are
what make our country great. Just like the Soldiers who serve something
higher than themselves, so do every one of you. We are honored to know you
all and to have been associated with you. I am enclosing a note to our
families and you will see that you all are one of our
families.
From a very grateful
battalion.
"Just wanted to say hello and hope that you have a good week in all that you do
for us and the country you live in. Thank you so much for adopting my fellow

goodies from their sponsors." ...SGT 2-1 GSAB
"I just want to say thank you to the Vonore Elementary School for your support. The Valentine cards were beautiful. I hung them all over the wall of my room. Thank you for all that you do. Your support is priceless." ...SPC Gulley
"I just wanted to let you know that we received the cookies. I would also like to thank you for the support you show to the service members - I can't imagine what an enormous undertaking this must be for you with the numbers of soldiers deployed.
Your willingness to send care packages is great, but I must say that what struck me was the fact that you had a personally written greeting in each box. Do you have time to sleep?!?!
It's people like you that really make the sacrifice of separation from family and friends more bearable - gestures like this give a sense of value and worth to our mission here."...CPT, 4/10 CAV
"On behalf of the Soldiers assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, I would like to send my sincerest, heartfelt thanks for the support shown by your organization. The packages and letters we received from your organization during the holiday season lifted our spirits and reminded us that there are wonderful people such as you back home supporting us. It further enhanced our morale as we continue to meet our purpose in the Global War on Terrorism. There are many days here when the men are called upon to accomplish tasks that place them well in harm's way. To receive packages from the home front is a reminder that they are loved and missed back at home." ... Cpt., 1-15IN
"Thank you for the Valentine card. It was nice to receive it. It's always nice to hear from students back home." SGT, 1/502 INF BN (AASLT)

"The good thing about Hugs for Soldiers is that the care packages you send go directly to the soldier. Often times, things are sent to headquarters where they pile up and never get out to the soldiers on the front lines." ... LTC, Special Ops
"I gave the soldiers who lost everything in the mortar attacks the boxes of towels, socks, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, soap, and all of the other things you and your volunteers sent. Boy, were they happy! My commander told me to thank you for helping out these soldiers and to tell your supporters thank you as well. You and your friends are heroes in our book..." PVT Eubanks

"Thank you for all you do in helping our soldiers. One of the coolers came in about 3 days ago. It's starting to get hot over here, so it couldn't have come at a better time. Our soldiers live at little Battle Positions and have no way of getting a cold or cool drink. So believe it or not something as simple as a cooler is a big morale boost. Thanks again for all you do.".... B Co., 2-69 AR
"Thanks for sending us the Girl Scout cookies. We will enjoy every box of them. It means a lot to us when our friends and family send letters, emails and packages. To most people boxes of cookies are not a big deal, but when it's mail time and your name is called it turns an ok day into a great day regardless of the circumstances. We proudly support and defend our nation during this time of war and will continue to do so until we are mission complete.".... CPT (name withheld)
"I wanted to say thank you for the Girl Scout Cookies. The quickest way to a soldier's heart is sweet cookies :) My boys love them and your kindness is very much appreciated. As a platoon leader, I couldn't be prouder of my boys. Rest assured that they are all competent and confident in their task and purpose here. We fight for our Country. We fight for our families, for democracy, and for all that is right in the world. We feel blessed to have our American brothers and sisters who support us and recognize our extreme sacrifices.".... 1LT (name withheld)
"Really good to hear about the fly strip drive. Some days it feels like we're under more attack from the bugs than the insurgents! Anyway, thank you all very much for the impending flystrips. They'll be a big help in the war on bugs.".... SPC Garvey
"I just wanted to say thank you from a grateful Army wife for all you have done. "
"Hey just wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart from me and my soldiers with the boxes you have sent to us we are not able to get to a PX or store here so your boxes have helped with the basics and a lttile extra from home once again thanks and hope to see you in 2008 hopefully anyway. Remember sleep good tonight I will always be at watch this night and every night until they tell me to go home tell your church thank you and God Bless you all. Speed and Power."

"My husband is currently deployed to Iraq with the 3rd ID, 3BCT, 1-15IN (A-CO) out of Fort Benning. It is very refreshing to see your site and learn of the ways you are showing your love and care to our soldiers. I know, firsthand how much it means to them and to know that they have our support. There are so many soldiers who have no family or friends who send letters or care packages, so I know this ministry makes their day and gives them reason to keep on going. Keep up the good work and know that you are in my prayers. I will be sure to share your site with everyone I know and come in contact with. You are a blessing."......An Army Wife
"IM PVT EUBANKS, AND I WANNA SAY I REALLY APPRECIATE THE LOVE AND SUPPORT FROM YOU AND EVERYBODY THAT IS HELPING. THANK YOU AND EVERYBODY FOR PRAYING AND HAVING US IN YOUR THOUGHT. MAY GOD BLESS YOU IN EVERYTHING YOU DO."
"I was on HammerSlogger the other day and saw how much you're doing for the troops and wanted to thank you so much. My boyfriend is (name withheld). He is serving his first deployment right now with B/CO 1-15 3rd Brigade and I know he always loves hearing about how much people are doing back home to support the guys. It really means the world to them and I never want them to feel like we are forgetting them as time goes by. So again, I thank you so very much and would love to help in any way possible. Thank you."
"I just found this website on the slogger website and just wanted to thank you for all that you are doing for our troops. This is my husband's 3rd time there for a year at a time. It gets pretty hard, but he has always came home and im praying for a quick return this time. I wish that everyone in the USA would support our troops like this. Thank you."...... a wife of a United States Soldier
